Anthony Marchetta may or may not be a robot. Is his flesh true flesh? Or is he merely a program, trapped by code to be unable to grasp that which is merely metal and what contains the divine spark of life? All he is sure of is that he is editor in chief. Perhaps that is enough. Perhaps…
He is the editor of the anthologies “God, Robot” and “Tales of the Once and Future King”, and has had three short stories published in the Sci Phi Journal. He is one of the co-writers of the horror anthology podcast Pinkerton’s Ghosts. You can find his personal blog at themechanicaldragon.wordpress.com.
David Hallquist is the author of the Warrior and the War Angel science-fiction series, and laments that space colonies and giant robots are currently only fiction. A lifelong fan of fantasy, sci-fi and horror, he recognizes that the genres often blend together, and wonders how different they really are.
There is an idea of a Ben Wheeler, some kind of Surrealist Futurist Horror writer, but there is no real me, only an artist, something editorial, and though I can hide my hatred for bad literature and you can read my work and read the flesh being stripped from the bones of some poor horror show, and maybe you can even sense our tastes in books are probably comparable, I demand more. I demand the annihilation of self in favor of the muse-inspired work. Buddha fears my editorial pen, which brings an end to the dharmic wheel of bad writing.
Ben also is the head writer and editor for Pinkerton's Ghosts and his short stories can be found in the Planetary anthology and other unsung corners of the art world.
